Do the inks have a shelf life?

Yes, the inks have a two year shelf life, same as the OEM inks or any other inks you might purchase. There is an algaecide in inks to prevent algae growth. The  algaecide will work for two years. After two years the algaecide is no longer effective. That doesn't mean you will get algae growth after that two year period but you could get some algae growth. You could go another two years without any algae growth. So to be one the safe side all ink manufacturers give the inks a two year shelf life.

How Much Money Will I Save Refilling My Own Cartridges?

The savings range depending on which printer you own. Refills run anywhere from $1 to $4 per refill. These savings increase substantially based on how much ink you buy. Savings can be much more for certain models, for example, the HP Inkjet 300 black refill costs $18 for 4 refills. A new cartridge would cost between $25 and $35 depending on where you live, but only costs between $3.50 and $4.75 per refill depending on whether you get the double ink option or not. Refill prices can go as low as $1 and $2 and lower per refill on the majority of models.

One Of My Colored Inks Runs Out Before The Others, How Can I Stop Wasting The Other Inks?

You might notice that one of your color chambers, in a three chamber color cartridge, usually runs out before the others. The great thing about refilling your own cartridges is that you no longer have to waste the other inks. Simply refill the empty chamber and top off the others!

Will Using Refilled Cartridges Void The Manufacturer's Warranty?

The manufacturer will suggest you use original cartridges because they are concerned about inferior ink clogging or ruining the printer. Do you blame them? With all the inferior inks and substandard cartridges floating around by those who want to make a fast buck - used by those who use price as a selling point - no wonder they have to warn against ALL inks. Not to mention they are concerned that you will stop using their product! One tip though; If you ever get your printer serviced by the retailer, or bring it in for service, take out the refilled cartridge. The reason for this is because the retailer that sold you the printer will probably have their own parts and service warranty plan, and to save themselves money, will probably blame any problems on the refilled cartridge. Printer techs can be very convincing, but be assured that any problem with your printer will not be due to the fact that you are using refilled cartridges.

The short simple answer is NO! Thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act. United States Code Annotated - Title 15 Commerce And Trade - Chapter 50 - 2302 Consumer Product Warranties, etc....

Whew! What the heck does it mean for printer users? It means that the mfg. of your printer can NOT legally void the warranty on your printer because you use a third-party manufactured item or service.

In plain English, this statement means that manufacturers cannot threaten to void your warranty simply because you didn't use their overpriced cartridge to keep printing on the printer you have purchased. This is the law, and all printer manufacturers know about this law, although underpaid technicians will often ignore this law and still try to threaten you.

Note that manufacturers are not required to repair in warranty products free if damage is done by a part that was defective and not from the manufacturer, therefore: You can use a refill kit or a compatible cartridge in your new, under warranty printer without fear of voiding the warranty as long as the kit or cartridge was designed to be used in your printer. Know who you buy from. All our products are of the highest quality and designed specifically for your printer model! We sell NO 'universal' inks.

Is it Difficult, and How Much Time Will It Take Me to Refill My Cartridge?

It is not difficult at all. It is a simple process that once you get the hang of seems ridiculously easy. Typically it takes 5 to 10 minutes the first time you do it. When you master the process it usually only takes a few minutes to do the refill. It saves you a trip to the mall to buy a new cartridge, and can actually be quite satisfying, knowing you are saving so much money!

Is it Messy?

If you are careful, it shouldn't be too messy. You should take the proper precautions ...after all accidents do happen! At first, you might get some ink on your hands, but it really isn't a big deal. The ink can be removed quickly by using a mild bleach solution. Soap and water can also be used but may not be as effective as the bleach. After you get the hang of it, the chances of an accident will lessen.

Do I need to be technically gifted to refill my cartridge?

Of course not! It really isn't that difficult. It is a different system than you are used to (popping in a VERY expensive cartridge), but you will get the hang of it. All you have to be able to do is 1. read 2. follow directions 3. have motor function in your hands!

Do different printers and models use different inks?

YES! In fact, most printer lines have different inks for different printer models. For example an HP51626A and HP51629A - although identical cartridges - use different inks! The Canon BJI-201, BC-21, BC-02 cartridges all use different inks. It is very important to order the proper refill kit for your specific printer and cartridge type.

How Many Times Can You Refill A Cartridge?

Most Cartridges can be refilled at least ten times. It depends on the type of cartridge you have. Cartridges with the print head built in generally can be refilled 10 - 15 times or more. Cartridges without the print head in them in theory can be refilled infinitely, however other factors can affect this such as drying out. There are ways you can prolong the life of your cartridge so that you get as many refills as you can for maximum savings!

What Comes In A Refill Kit?

Everything you will need is included in the startup refill kit (with the exception the "chip resetter" for some Epson cartridges). Depending on the make and model of your printer, your kit will include detailed instructions, a syringe for inserting the ink, a full ink bottle, and sometimes a small drill. Whatever your make and model, after you have purchased the startup kit the only additional cost will be for the ink alone.

How Long Will It Take For Your Kits To Get To Me?

Our processing is 1 business day. Our standard shipping is UPS Ground a 2-3 business day delivery depending where in the U.S. you live. For northern states and west coast, expect a 4-5 business day delivery time. If you place an order today, you should have your product in hand by next week at this time.

Why do the printer manufacturer's tell me not to refill?

Why do you think? They practically give the printers away to have you as a captive customer for life! For example, how much ink do you think is in these cartridges? Let me tell you that an Epson cartridge holds about 4cc's of ink! "But the cartridge must cost money to produce?" Come on, that piece of plastic with a sponge inside? The entire unit costs MAYBE 30 cents and they are charging $30! Call their bluff. "Don't remove the cartridge from the printer" they say - call Epson and tell them your ORIGINAL cartridge is not printing and they will tell you to - you guessed it - REMOVE THE CARTRIDGE!

"We will void the warranty if you refill" This is a scare tactic. How are they ever going to know you refilled unless you tell them? Why do they say this? Because they WANT YOU TO KEEP BUYING THEIR CARTRIDGES! Refilling is completely harmless. Besides, not all inks, refill kits and compatible products are made equal. Many fly-by-night companies ruin our good image by providing substandard products.
